Principals Warren Batchelar and Graham McDougall joined forces in 2007 and between them have over 50 years of combined engineering experience in a variety of industry sectors. The company has grown rapidly to a staff of over 20 with offices in both Wanaka & Christchurch. BMC specialises in the structural design and assessment of a wide range of buildings and structures. We have extensive experience in a wide range of projects from high-end residential to major commercial developments both nationally and internationally. Through the detailed building assessment work we have carried out, after the Christchurch earthquake sequence, we have developed a forensic skillset which delivers a comprehensive understanding of building behaviour in a seismic event. By applying this skillset to new building projects we are able to more accurately optimise the structural design solution.
