Senior Structural Engineer (CPEng)

BMC is expanding with a growing workload.  We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to be part of our Christchurch office design team.  Our core client base and workflow continues to diversify and we value each and every team member’s skills and contribution.

This role requires:

  • Washington Accord qualifications
  • Ideally 10- 15 years’ design experience
  • CPEng with extensive New Zealand seismic experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment

For the right candidate, this position offers the opportunity to become part of BMC’s Management Team with ongoing opportunities to be included in the company’s succession planning.

Office Assistant - Part-Time

Batchelar McDougall Consulting (BMC) are Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers with offices in Wanaka, Queenstown and Christchurch, providing engineering services all around the South Island.

Our team is growing and we are looking to appoint a very special person to help look after our office in Christchurch. This varied role would include Reception, Client Liaison, filing, purchasing, staff welfare plus other office duties as required to assist our Engineer’s through their busy day.

We can offer a pleasant work and team environment. BMC also has offices in Wanaka and Queenstown and with expanding contracts around the South Island the role is assured to be busy and interesting.

We could offer flexible hours, up to 20 a week, and would like to have someone join us who wishes to contribute to the team, is computer literate and could grow with the job. Training in WorkflowMax and Xero will be given. Ability to work school holidays is preferable.

Applicants must be New Zealand residents or have a New Zealand work permit.
