BMC provided construction monitoring of the structural elements for the classic and elegant 3 storey office building designed with a glass fronted entry stairwell / atrium.
Perimeter sheet piling was used to enable excavation of a level building platform which exposed ground water requiring modification to the ground floor slab design to resist potential uplift pressures.
Structural walls are constructed from reinforced masonry with an insulated plaster and natural schist stone cladding.
The suspended floors are constructed from precast concrete rib & timber infill system supported on structural steel frames and the roof structure is supported by structural steel framing. |
