This site in a prestigious part of Wanaka is located on what was a very wet and at first glance a very challenging site. BMC investigated the ground conditions and discovered a simple low cost solution to achieve both good founding conditions and de-water the area.

The 'heavy' dwelling was engineered in Insulform with Unispan midfloor. During construction the client wanted to add schist cladding to a timber frame area of the dwelling and BMC was able to come up with a relatively simple solution using ply shear panels to resist the additional earthquake bracing demand with minimal disruption / change to the existing elements already constructed.
