Minaret Station Walking / Access Bridges

Design and modelling to provide all phases of the project to be manged and delivered precisely to a remote location.

BMC were engaged to provide detailed design and fabrication drawings for the new access walking bridges. Critical in the design of these bridges were the high level of accuracy required due to airlift weights and placement in a remote location. The bridges were airlifted by helicopter onto pre-formed bridge abutments, meaning buildability and tolerances were critical. Structural analysis and construction details were tailored for the transportation and installation by helicopter, with temporary airlift frames required for this process. Precise abutment survey data provided reference points for each individual bridge section. Use of 3D Revit modelling (integrated with SAP2000 analysis software) allowed for all of this to be designed, detailed, fabricated and managed precisely.
