Lismore Street, Wanaka

This project comprised two high end apartments constructed on a steep site with Geotechnical issues overlooking Lake Wanaka.

Whilst the primary structure of the building was relatively simple with Masonry Block walls, suspended concrete first floor and a timber and steel roof, the construction required an economic and robust high temporary retaining wall.

This was achieved by working with the client, project manager, and contractor to deliver a cost effective timber pole solution that prevented any damage to the road and infrastructure in Lismore Street and the adjacent buildings which were built very close to the boundary.

Effective and efficient construction monitoring of the project has allowed the many cast insitu concrete and masonry block concrete pours to occur in a timely manner to keep the project on programme.

Clear and concise construction drawings allowed the structural steel to be constructed without shop drawings and the installation to flow seamlessly on site.
