Heritage Engineering

BMC team members have been engaged in assessments, expert witness, resource consents, design and implementation of many heritage projects ranging from Waitangi Treaty House to The Arts Centre of Christchurch. International experience has also been gained in England, Wales and Tonga.

The engineering of Heritage buildings whether earthquake damaged or in need of restoration is something we at BMC are passionate about. We believe that saving heritage buildings from the ravages of time, earthquakes, floods or neglect is good for society and fits well with our business ethos.
We have experience in strengthening and repair of all types of heritage structures and pride ourselves on being up with the latest technologies and methodologies used worldwide for this work. If innovative solutions are required we are comfortable developing these alongside our colleagues at Universities, NZHPT and ICOMOS.
Some of the projects we are currently working on are:

The Arts Centre, Christchurch
Invercargill Central
St Johns, Invercargill
167 Hereford St, Christchurch
31 Cathedral Square, Christchurch
