The Quake Centre (QC) is a partnership between the NZ Government, UC, and several industry groups. This partnership is currently, all working together in the engineering sector to provide world-class knowledge, research and solutions to seismic issues. BMC is proud to be supporting & sponsoring the QC because it fits tightly within our area of expertise. Aligning with our fundamental company vision and values of, integrity, collaboration, and caring for people & communities. The QC approached BMC to assist with putting together a document targeted at building owners, enabling them to navigate through the sea of information, legislation and hearsay around ‘earthquake-prone building’ issues. This online guidance document is a simple road map using the relevant, available information. Providing logical and practical ways for building owners to make good (legally compliant) decisions. This, in turn, leads them to feasible and viable outcomes in a staged way and with the minimum of fuss.
